i'll be happy if the worst we get is something ignorable like BDSP, like you said at least it'll hopefully inspire a bunch of new art. what would be far worse is some terrible, kaizen'd out remake/reboot/sequel that adds a bunch of meaningless, arbitrary details and changes in a desperate attempt by clueless gerontocrat executives to get people invested in something they see as old and outdated. like the rebuild of eva movies or that terrible higurashi "remake"

you're right, her original design does have the takarazuka revue feel to her more than Rika. either way both are good designs
it's interesting to hear directly from yumejo what character elements they find appealing. i have very narrow preferences but they're not that dissimilar to what you're describing. i've never met any other yumedan though so i'm not sure if that represents any trends or if it's just specific to me
