>>40855505Quick reminder that Earth is still in an Ice Age, and we are still in the Holocene. We should not have ice caps. End of.
The problem isn't whether it's happening. Hell, it's not a problem at all, it's expected - even if we were to be deleted from exitence and all engines were to turn off, the Earth would still be getting warmer. The glaciers would melt (as they should already be, since they shouldn't exist anyways), animals that don't adapt will go extinct or breed out (as Polar bears are now)
The actual problem we have a say in, is water abstraction; which combined with the increased temperatures is leading to desertification (the actual bad thing regarding climate change, tl;dr desert conditions are unnatural to Earths history too and they're increasing in size beause retarded 3rd world farmers are overburdening their lands+cutting more trees down to make way for more crops which in turn means the desert is expanding into their land.
which is why vegetarianism, and extremely crop heavy lifestyle, based on Soya and Palm Oil is extremely destructive to the environment, much more so than Carnivorism, which trades land strain for inhumane animal conditions to allow it to be so compact. There is no correct answer, chew on those apples.)
Nobody can 'stop' it now, the tundra is melting and with it heaps of CH4 is being relased, which will in turn stabilise the atmosphere at the higher temperature Earth is used to for the millions of years of it's existence. Did we start it? Sure, about a century ago when small scale industrialisation lit the fragile fuse that was already in place.
Is it being taken advantage of by politicians? Of course. Why? Becuase you retards are arguing over an inevitable climatologicall process instead of focusing on the acual issues humanity can change.
There's your fucking hot take. You're all retards. Now shut the fuck up and talk about Pokemon, and the invariable shitshow this generation is prepping itself to be.
