>>51010230I believe GameFreak tried too hard trying to design this champion. Leon's design insists upon itself in a way no other previous champion did before. He wears some ugly carpet cape covered in advertisements, his hat resembles a crown, and he has to pose all the time. I don't have Charizard Derangement Syndrome like the rest of /vp/, but it's clear they only gave him Charizard as an ace to sell the character even harder. Leon is so forced it becomes unlikable for me. The other champions all felt more natural and their popularity is a lot more organic than Leon's. Leon feels like a walking headcanon on what a champion should be like,, and this is how a lot of his fans treat him, when they try to praise Leon it quickly turns into a list of grievances they have with every other champion.
