>>56385905What boils my noodle about the whole thing is that, knowing what we little we know about the 4Kids bigwigs thought process, they must have thought they were making the movie not only more exciting... but perhaps a little more coherent? A lot of Mewtwo Strikes Back is our titular cat man thinking about life out loud to various out of the loop and terribly confused onlookers, after all. But in the case of THIS franchise, the kids who have completed the games are already going to have their own little idea of and relationship with the character going in that you typically don't with onscreen characters. I wonder how a less altered version would have gone down. It would have made all the money, bored all the parents and driven Ebert up the wall in either case.
