basically all of the vectol concepts are more towards spiders and scorpions but when i tried to think of a living baby computer worm i though of parasite digi-maggots sucking up data. and tried to combine the mouth of some random parasite (a) with monitor plugs (e), with the end goal of creating a little fishy worm that could swim around computer data and leech off bandwidth or something
the yellow bands were meant to be sort of like the connectors on rom chips (d) and i tried to make the "face" both single-eyed and reminiscent of power buttons
the back stinger/tail thing was meant to look like that sort of jack plug that i dont actually know the name of but you probably know what im talking about
basically every vectol2 design makes it a scorpion but it might be kind of neat to give it really weird legs, something like horses or elks (see c) as a reference to the elk virus (yes i know horses arent elks), or just to make it seem more unnatural looking? i mena yeah scorpions are cool but it might come out a lot cooler if you look outside the box. the idea for this thing was to have the legs tucked against the holes in the sides and have it "swim" around
the biggest thing was the sort of bsod blue stuff which i sort of saw as being amorphus and intangible, "surrounded" by the shell and leaking out everywhere. the blue is really jarring and clashing and shitty but the less natural it looks the more it could drive home how it isnt "natural" and where all the data it corrupts/steals goes, maybe have that bizarre glitchy stuff dripping under him and dissipating sort of like how people draw missingno
