It's literally impossible to get stuck anywhere. If you have a Pokemon forget an HM you can always teach it to it again.
Think of any scenario where you'd be stuck and just fix it by undoing what you did. It isn't that hard to understand.
I am especially frustrated about this because I think Gamefreak was on the same wavelength as you and that's why they decided to add this retarded mechanic.
