Why are hacked pokemon banned from competitive?
Here's a scenario: Say that I hack in a 6 IV Adamant toxapex straight away. Why is that illegal? it has the same stats of a 6 IV Adamant toxapex obtained through breeding, its just that I didn't have to go through eons of breeding to get that toxapex. And with the 1 mon of the same species per team limit, why can't I use a hacked mon? Sure, if you hacked in moves/abilities that aren't in its movepool, then yeah, it shouldn't be allowed to compete, but if it has the same stats as a pokemon that could be obtained through legit means, why is it illegal? It it because "muh hacker"? Is it some shit with it being obtained "unfairly" and "bypassing all of the hard work that goes through breeding"? I've already completed the Alolan Dex without hacking, and I have the MEANS to obtain those pokemon, it's just that:
A: I want more of that pokemon (ex: type:null/silvally)
B: I'm too lazy to breed for a perfect 6 IV jolly shiny snorlax (this is hypothetical, I wouldn't get a jolly snorlax, it's just the first nature that comes to mind)
C: I'm too lazy so SR for a 6 IV adamant Tapu Koko
or D: I'm too lazy to wait daily for the island scan to get a mon exclusive to that feature
Most of these are because of my sheer laziness, but I still have the means to do (most) of those things legitly. I still breed, but that's because I just like breeding pokemon in general and sending them out to the wonder trade. It's satisfying to me. I've essentially completed the game, and the only reason I'm doing this is to jump straight into battling, so as long as the pokemon have the stats, abilities, moves, and natures of a legit pokemon, why shouldn't I be able to use it if it's on equal grounds with legit pokemon?
