>>21325573So I get to the next town, and some thugs are fucking with Zapdos. I challenge them, and meet Evil Team #3, Team Earth, and they have Galactic sprites.
After beating them, the Electric-type Gym Leader, Rhea, thanks me.
If you talk to her after the cutscene, you get a chance to fight her with Zapdos as her signature. I forgot to save a state before this option came up, and I (correctly) guessed that if I said no I wouldn't get another shot like the optional double battle earlier, so I went at it.
Zapdos is at a brutal Lv. 50. Furbait got three SDs off while it spammed Double Team, used Endure to max out Reversal, take off enough health for her to use her Super Potions while I dealt more than 50 damage per turn, and luckily minmax to finish it before I'm taken out.
This completely bypasses the fourth Gym and nets you the Symbol of POWER without having to set foot in it. That's actually a pretty cool thing.
This hack as a whole seems to be gaining more and more quality to it, with interesting battles, less earrape-y music, the plot is dull and slightly edgy and too rival-y but this is the only Legendary encounter outside of Claire's annoying OP Fakemon and it's completely optional so that hasn't been an issue. I know it gets worse later on, but I'm once again having
fun with the game.
I feel like if Jagold had more feedback from people that aren't from a hugbox and if he did a little more quality control with regard to the plot and the edginess and the OP Fakemon/moves, this would be a pretty good hack. It goes all over the place from dull and repetitive to shitty and edgy to actually pretty good; he just needs to weed out the good parts like the Zapdos battle Gym bypass.
