She is shy about her performance in battle, so she often under performs if only because she is skittish and not because of any lack of talent or ability.
Whenever I try to introduce her to new friends she hides behind my leg before she warms up to them. But we still love her cause she is my new partner and know she will grow into her own as time goes on.
