Whether the trainer's Eeveelution became giant, or they shrank (and whether that was an accident or the Pokemon did it on purpose) I like to think that the Pokemon would be protective of their trainer, especially Eeveelutions (and especially Umbreon, Espeon, and Sylveon considering their evolution requirements).
