>>38243299After getting over being a bit sick I decided to take on the Elite Four with the least bad moveset I could think of, Surf, Ice Beam, Double Team and Toxic. I was planning on using Double Team alongside Lax Essence (slightly worse brightpowder) from the start, but I used Toxic instead of Dig or Rock Tomb because I thought it might help me defeat Glacia a bit easier.
Sidney was a bit tough, his Mightyena spammed Sand Attack and I knew I wouldn't win if he got it off, but I needed at least +1 special attack to take out his Cacturne with Ice Beam. I toughed it out until I got a run where I could boost without becoming horribly inaccurate. I was a bit afraid of his Sharpedo, but hitting it with Surf was surprisingly effective.
Phoebe should have been harder than she was, given how powerful Curse can be against a pokemon that can't switch. All I had to do to avoid that was beat everything before it could use Curse. Her final Dusclops was tankier than I expected though.
Glacia was where I expected to need to toxic-stall to win. At first I tried to use Toxic to defeat her initial Glalie, due to it having Light Screen, but it ended up being easier to just stall with Double Team and attack when the screen went down. After her first Sealeo went down after a back and forth with her healing between Surfs I managed to level up to level 60, and the second Sealeo which was a higher level went down swimmingly. I guess more levels really is more damage. The rest of her team went down easily, due to my maxed evasion.
Drake started with a mind-reading Shelgon. If I tried boosting speed, it'd use Rock Tomb. If I tried attacking, it'd protect. If I tried boosting special attack it'd chip away at my health. It did this without fail. I'd chalk this up to coincidence if it didn't happen multiple times in a row. I finally managed to get past that Shelgon and swept his whole team with Ice Beam. Not too surprising, considering almost all of his team is 4x weak to ice.
