The new pokemon is a fruit themed grass type, which is okay, but the new shiny is a steel type whose name and appearance is based on construction equipment. One of the rare spawns is a sand storm creating pokemon, which runs contrary to their theme. The timed research rewards a piece of construction equipment, a piece of garbage, and a fruit. There are some "ocean theme" pokemon, but just having a bunch of water types can't salvage the confusion.
