I really hate the rounded, cartoonish look that most of the new shit seems to have now. the older designs had a lot more detail in their shapes, instead of just adding round, mono-color parts to round, mono-color bodies. I'm not saying that every new pokemon is shit and all the old ones are great, but the average quality of new mons has been going downhill.
