Durant is bro one just because he's one of, if not, my favourite pogeymans. He's also quite compact so would make for a good follower buddy, but still very powerful and dangerous should trouble suddenly arise.
Hypno is bro two because we go way back, in my very first playthrough of Red back in the day the only thing I remember was Hypno carrying me through most of the game with Hypnosis and Dream Eater.
Hypno would also be part of my core battling team, with him, Cofagrigus and Marowak setting up and abusing Trick Room strategies. Meanwhile Quagsire would act as a wall, ideally luring in a grass type for his big buddy Bouffalant to take advantage of.
Pelipper would be there for transport and general friendly good naturedness, and Solrock is there because... I like Solrock, and hardly ever see it get used. It could also take part in the Trick Room shenanigans.
