Megas like Salamence, Metagross, Kangaskhan, Gengar, Rayquaza, Mewtwo etc. etc. etc. were fucking broken in either Single or Doubles, and ALL they did was accelerate power creep to an insane degree by basically giving you a third legend slot in VGC and just getting insane stat boosts in general. You would have an OUNCE of a point if the shitty mons WERE the only ones who got them, but no, not every Pokemon was an Abomasnow, or a Audino, or a Banette, or a Camerupt (who all still sucked anyways, btw) who got one because they NEEDED one. The good got better, SOME of the shit got decent, and most of the shit stayed shit.
