I don't frankly give a shit about let's plays anymore, so I like Pokémon discussion/lore or whatever. Lockstin/Gnoggin's easily one of the only channels I care about for Pokémon. After watching enough of his stuff, it becomes clear A) He's actually really fucking curious/smart/informed about stuff B) He's self-aware enough to not take Pokémon too seriously, yet he knows what kinds of videos get views C) His vids are mostly all of a high quality, and D) He's fairly funny as well, IMO. Though his brand of humor definitely isn't for everyone.
He's also one of the only ones who seems like an actual fucking adult.
