And also the holographic Charizard I got in a pack of cards my mom bought me while we were grocery shopping, as well as a Japanese Island Mew card I bought from the same card shop back in 1999.
I was young when Pokemon first came to the states. I'm only 25 (26 in a couple months) but I think my memories of Pokemon are probably my most vivid memories of childhood.
I think all the Gens are great. Pokemon is by far my favorite media franchise, overall. I just wish people could get along and stop shitting on people that like the newer stuff or didn't start with the original Red and Blue. Sure, they can never know true Pokemania, but that doesn't mean they can't care about the franchise.
