>>43656118It's such BS too. Why cut all these moves? Some, if not all, of them were unique and a couple were actually useful. If anything, they removed balance by deleting these moves, limiting options and removing diversity. And just like when they said that they would cut the dex but never admitted how much, shocking everyone when we saw over half the Pokemon get the axe, Masuda and GF were shady af to not tell us they were cutting moves too. And the worst thing is they won't stand by it and admit that they did it OR they'll explain it as a quality of life change or say it was to make the game easier for kids to understand. All that despite the fact that it actually doesn't affect the quality of life of the game at all and may even improve it, since it creates checks for certain Pokemon in the meta and also makes quickly fading mechanics like friendship have a purpose. Plus kids today can memorize entire structures in Minecraft or their and their friend's loadouts in shooting games, so remembering a few more Pokemon and the attacks they can use really shouldn't be that much different.
Damnit, I really wish this series was handed to a different developer. I can't believe how everyone surrounding this IP is just allowing these games to turn completely into advertising vehicles for the merchandise rather than actually let them have some quality like they used to.
