>>34239737They focus too much on the story even though it's the only bad part, leaving players with a bad taste in their mouth. They'd be great games if GF had the same plot from SM and added Necrozma to the postgame. I'm busy now but that's the gist of it. Basically the Recon Squad and Necrozma are shoehorned in without changing anything else so other characters like Hapu and Gladion suffer from not being as developed, Nihilego loses its value and is replaced by a being we know nothing about, the UBs in general lose that air of mystery that made them so intriguing the first time round due to the Recon Squad explaining everything, and Lusamine disowning her children seems out of place if she's noble enough to go battle a godlike being in another dimension. The only thing better was Hau's development, but that's because he had nothing to do with the Recon Squad. Also GF is so lazy they didn't even change the first parts of the stoey like the encounter with Nihilego being seen for the first time but never showing up againg, meeting Sina and Dexio only once, and Hau getting rewarded with Malasada but ended up getting a Lycanroc Z crystal despite the dialogue when Wicke rewards him not changing. Basically the story is the only bad point but because there's so much focus on it it ends up as the face of the game and gives off a bad impression by overshadowing actual good qualities. It's a shame how drastically everything changes with just the addition of two characters (Recon Squad). I really don't like how the climax is about a pokemon you've never seen before, in a world you've never seen before, with people you've never seen before and most likely didn't grow to care about. For having such focus on Lillie it was a step in the wrong direction to have her not come with you to get the flute and be there for the Necrozma fight.
