But the most important thing:
You can't retcon a form that exist on the games, Smash, TCG and manga not to mention previous series which is known and considered popular, all that in a 100b multimedia franchise. Far, far less popular franchises didn't retcon (for example, in DB, SSJ4 isn't retconned from other media, GT is considered an AU because the form and even the series had it's fans).

And yes, Ash-Greninja is popular.

Now, before retconfags start scream, I will explain one last time that they cannot actually retcon it from the franchise. It's too late. By being part of home (and having a model as well), by being part of TCG, Smash, manga and his own merch, all while being actually popular with the nips and a one of the most popular pokemon of all time, it's pretty much set on stone.
Do you really think that a 100b dollar multimedia franchise with investors, corporate executives and whatsoever will allow a money making thing to be erased?
