One was desperate for a new game for his Switch, and was planning to buy it, until he found out his favorite Pokemon, Metagross, was cut.
The second person, a kid, was planning on buying it because it's Pokemon and popular, but then forgot about SS when the Fortnite black hole thing happened, and hasn't paid any attention to Pokemon since.
The third person, me, was going to buy it, mostly because of all the "don't worry guys, LGPE is for the casual newbies" stuff; every single official/unofficial piece of information released makes me feel old as shit and uninterested in the franchise. About half the new Pokemon are neat, though.
