>>37387865Because adding a shit ton of details onto a monster doesn't make it a Digimon, there are plenty of Monster Series (Mainly Cardgames) with over the top designs and super god ultimate dragons. What I was referring to is the style, Digimon are drawn with a heavy use of shades, veins, bulky bits and roughness, the closest you get to this is Nidoking's original art, which matches that ferocity, Mega Garchomp is what many point to as a Literal Digimon but the art style for it fits right in with modern Pokemon, even spikes are very rounded and made to be not too rough.
