The fact that this is all here in front of my eyes in a game they put the bare minimum into in regards to the rest of the game speaks for itself. These themes are present in many many other games and media from shitty movies to other games, even Elden Ring draws from the same IRL infleunces.

But seriously it's not a theory. I researched this shit for years and became obsessed with it. These themes are objectively here and objectively mimicking the plot of IRL occult lore. Gamefreak being gay doesn't mean that's not the situation here. This game more directly references gnosticism and mystery religion devil worship than any other so far in the series that I'm aware of and the disc pokemon is basically Berserk's Idea of Evil.
