http://www.pokemon20.com/en-us/timeline.html#I remember when Pokemon Black and White first released, I was perhaps more excited about a single new Pokemon than I had been since, well, ever (with the exception of Red and Blue, I suppose). It wasn't even so much the Pokemon itself about which I was excited, but rather what said Pokemon would finally allow me to accomplish.
The Pokemon in question was Tirtouga. Now, you may be wondering, "What was so special about Tirtouga?" As a Pokemon, perhaps not so much. As the answer to a long gestating dream, however, it was the final piece of a puzzle I once thought I may never solve.
You see, I like turtles. This should not surprise you at this point, given my username, and my rantings and ravings about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Squirtle, obviously, was my very first Pokemon.
Then Ruby and Sapphire released, and a new turtle Pokemon appeared in the form of Torkoal. I thought to myself, "Hey, this is cool. I can add another turtle to my team for fun."
