>>41461228>>41461653I have 3 conflicting thoughts about this text
1. Admiration for his apparent motivation. He seems focused and determined to not only make an extraordinary product but to also send a social message that improves the world.
2. Surprise at how naive he is. Ideal worlds can simply not exist. Wanting a world full of happiness and love is a clear sign of how ignorant a person is about geopolitics, economics and human nature as a whole. Or he was just virtue signaling here. Or just trying to motivate the staff and himself by pretending their work is more meaningful than it actually is
3. This message contradicts an interview I read years ago, where he stated that the DS' wifi capabilities were such an amazing new inclusion for the Pokémon experience that the team didn't feel the need to innovate in any other core aspect, so they dodn't put much effort into making things feel fresh, the wifi options would take care of that by themselves. While in his post he says he is passionate, he cares about every detail, going beyond being fun...
My conclusion is that the guy is being inconsistent and clueless as always. He is not a genius, nor a visionary, just a lucky middle aged musician whose messages should never be taken very seriously.
