I care a lot more about the mons than the humans, and being an equal to them, as well being able to communicate with them directly, just seems like a great time all around.
The adjustment might take some time, though. Especially if you become a quadrupedal mon, or just one with less generally useful hands. Or even NO hands. Not that it'd be impossible to get used to, but it'd definitely be tough.
