haven't done much and likely will not do much this week due to two big tests. i was bored while rewatching lectures and didn't really feel like making progression towards surge (i've heard he's supposed to be absolutely brutal) so i did all my catches bar a raid den on route 11 and a regular catch on route 6, then did a LOT of ev training for the squad. maxed out the stats then optimized the natures using the lady in the pokemon center. even though cain and bradley aren't optimized, cain is the inarguable MVP of the run, just so goddamn strong and fast that he's actually flat better than most of my trained bros, and bradley is here because i think he'll be real good for surge.
while a mostly grass team honestly is pretty cool, it does not appear i will get ev reducing stuff until celadon/saffron (or the ability to evolve several of my pokemon, looking at the documentation), and i don't know if i want to go through a good stretch of game with unoptimal mons. maybe not the proper nuzlocke way of looking at things where you're supposed to grow attached to your bros and not make hyper-efficient killers, but hey, i don't want my guys to die.
also, on a side note? apparently i've just been getting unlucky with those snover eggs and they're actually all supposed to be different, kek
>>44949150yeah fangames like to pull that kind of shit, kind of surprised crystal clear of all things did it. nice job doing it without deaths! i feel like jasmine should be pretty easy with collar and qaraqul, even if she does pack a lugia.
>>44948547ay so you did rebound! hope you make it to the end!
>>44949865nice job making it to the end! gen 4 (or at least platinum) is even tougher, though, so watch out
>>44938775honestly? this game's so good i might redo it for a grass, ice, or bug mono not-nuzlocke after i win (or lose). dexnav and gen 8 exp share combined with real difficulty is so nice
