After going through the thread and thinking about it, anons made some good points on what good inclusions/exclusions would be. Still going with someone born in Kanto (who eventually moves to the Sevii islands), but going to change my team to this:
- Mr. Mime
Still my favorite pokemon, and would be my bro mon.
- Ninetales
My favorite fire type, and useful team support with confuse ray and will-o-wisp. A fire type would also be nice to have to light fires or keep warm if traveling in the cold.
- Mantine
One of my favorite pokemon, and would be used for crossing bodies of water. Can also serve as the special wall for the team.
- Steelix
Another favorite, and I could travel on it. It could also serve as a bulky mon to protect me, and would be the physical wall for the team.
- Heracross
One of my favorite pokemon, and could serve as the strong man, lifting or destroying certain obstacles out of the way.
- Dunsparce
Always liked this guy as the underdog, and could serve as my shouldermon (yes it's a bit bigger, but I workout regularly, am in decent shape, and am somewhat large myself).
No flier because it would ruin the sense of adventure, and wouldn't be needed.
