I have nothing against stylisation or artists doing their own thing, but to me the actual proportions have this very specific appeal - the large eyes with an unreadable stare, the soft body with the sharp spike through it, the extremely dainty legs surrounded with the thin "dress" layer is fascinating and creates this almost otherworldly/alien beauty and serenity.
Seeing art represent that in very high detail and very accurately is so nice.
