Had an idea I shared with a buddy about a 'hypothetical anime team' where you would have the team you would have if you existed in the anime/pokemon world as a character living in a region (not the main character). To put constraints on it, there were some guidelines:
- Pick a set of games in the same region, and only use pokemon in those games (ideally pick your favorite games/region)
- Have your favorite pokemon on your team
- Have a surfer (doesn't need to know surf unless special case)
- Have a flier/teleporter (doesn't need to know the move unless special case
- Have a pokemon to aid in catching (A pokemon with super fang + thunder wave, spore + false swipe, etc.)
- A shiny
- Any gift/event nonlegendary available in those games at a low level to be your starter
- Try to use as many favorites as possible
- Can have some overlap
This ended up being my team:
- Games: FRLG
- Event Pikachu (starter + flier)
- Mr. Mime (Favorite Pokemon)
- Heracross (Favorite Johto mon, 3rd favorite overall)
- Mantine (Surfer + second favorite Johto mon)
- Arbok (Favorite poison type, one of my favorite Kanto mons)
- Shiny Raticate (Catcher, shiny, and like the shiny aesthetically)
