Repost from last thread and from so long ago when I thought of the cable car concept. And added some more about it.
You basically have a Victory Road cave, That can go any way, I thought of it being part cave, and part dangerous mountain cliff side.
Once you trek through that and make it to the E4 Doors, it is a Pokecenter. And they let you know when you go through the doors you will not be let back out until you become the champion/all your Pokemon faint, etc.. And you go through and are lead into a cable car.
The first cable car lets you look out on different areas around the beginning of your journey. You see the Lab, Fosters Gym, maybe the observatory. Then the ride ends and you face the first E4 member. If you are able to beat him/her you go onto your next cable car ride, this one looking out further upon the land. And each ride you take looking over previous places that your journey took you. A sort of memory lane type of thing. The top where you fight the champion could look whatever way, probably a stadium with a separate cable car for the audience. I just drew that circle thing for a placeholder.
I feel like this would be a memorable way to end the main part of the game. Granted there will be end-game content but for the main part being able to look over the land you have explored while defeating some of the hardest trainers of the region.
Have the ride sort of like small short cut scenes with you looking out of the cable car and the view portrayed around you. While you are defeating the E4 members, in between looking back and have a memorable ride.
