Surfing off the coast of the town we got kidnapped at leads us to this fuckhuge fore area, where Mankeys will somehow display the ability to construct things by bribing them with chestnuts. It's a reference to PMD Red/Blue where Mankeys were little fucks who you had to both bribe and beat into submission for them to work on your house.
Some girl will be chasing the worst water starter. If you make it to the end, she'll reveal herself to be a grunt and you can chase her off. Oshawott is one option if you need a water type, one of your only somewhat decent ones.
