>>38913457Nothing changes for me since I didn't give gamefreak money for a stupid pokebank account, so I've been just working with the regional dex since gen 6. I took a break for gens 4 and 5, but I've been around since gen 1 and I'm used to it at this point. It hurt not transfering all the shinies I chained in XY, but I lived. Same with my battle facility team, I just made a new one from scratch in gen 7.
We got through RSE and there's a possibility of patching it in later that wasn't there in gen 3, so I'm not worried. Especially since it basically guarantees pokemon home will die if it can't be used to transfer everyone to gen 8. There's also the fact that it's not literally transfering your pokemon, but instead the game creating a clone in the new game's engine, as demonstrated by cases like transferring to gen 7 from virtual console RBY and GSC.
That's not to say I agree with this decision, it's borderline hypocrisy, but in my case, nothing I had in mind before changes. Only implementing the transfer for galar dex pokemon is a bizarre stopping point, too.
I'm more surprised nobody's talking about how the dex will almost certainly now just be filled with shillmons to upset the fewest amount of people or how it'll divide the fanbase.
