>I get everyone's gonna be all ironic "Nintendo. Hire. This. Man." Because it's either a basic as shit mock-up in a Unity scene or a static blender render or whatever that looks nice but is far from being an actual game, but fuck it. If there was that much life and consistent level of detail up close I wouldn't mind having everything from mid-ground back partially obscured by fog to reduce how bad the system is struggling to render everything and keep a consistent, playable frame rate. It looks nicer than swsh, if what little is rendered runs smoothly then it's better than what we've seen of PLA thus far, and the open environment without adhering to the same grid-based maps we've seen 5 times would bring freedom no remake ever could. Let there be mystery in what lies ahead. Let there be room to explore and scenery to admire. Even if there's not much to do besides finding pokemon to run up to and battle/catch it wouldn't be a downgrade considering main series has been primarily that and lengthy dialogue that doesn't go that deep anyways for years now, at least it'd be getting right down to the core gameplay loop.
