I havent played the Kanto games in a long time, last time was 2016 so I was a little underleveled for battling Brock with my highest level being 10 on Bulbasaur. My plan was to lead with Metapod for the exp and sweep with Mankey but after a pair of tackles from Geodude I realise that wasnt going to be happening. Living up to his name, Bulbasaur came in and saved the day sweeping Brock's team (and taking all the exp while he was at it).
I think I'm probably going to box Rattata and maybe even Metapod. 4 pokemon is just far too many to manage at this early stage of the game and I'd rather not be going into important battles this underleveled. Without Bulbasaur I would have lost to Brock without a doubt.
