One of my friends asked me to come along to a con with him. Eager to go, having never been before, I brought my DS with me. I had been looking for Pokemon to fill my 'dex and my DS couldn't connect to the internet at home. I needed a Xatu, I decided. I liked its design and it was one that was missing.
Asking around, I found a guy who was willing to trade. I gave him something, I don't remember, and he handed me ... Paul. It wasn't his 'mon, he told me. The guy he got it from before had got it in a trade too. Its OT was 'MONDO', Italian for 'WORLD', so I decided Paul was a bit of a traveller. I kept him with me through the rest of my Pearl game, carried me through the last sections of Black and finally made it to White2, at level 100, where I used him to cheese out the Elite 4 for the first time. He was covered in Hall of Fame ribbons, had a couple of contest ribbons and I gave him some of those 'tell me a story' ribbons too.
He's now sitting in my X cartridge, ready to tell his tale to all the newly bred and caught 'mons. Paul guards the shinies box. Thus is the tale of Paul the Xatu.
