At the end of the day we're still getting really beautiful Illustration rares and secret illustration rares, which aren't any different from SwSh's alt arts and gallery subsets. And the illustration rares of trainers are a great addition with a lot of fun possibilities. It seems to me that what people are getting bored of is the accessibility of chase cards, since the more generous pull rates have lowered the overall market value of SV pulls and there's not as much of a rush in chasing and acquiring expensive cards.
>>54224892I honestly don't mind tera forms in the card game. Don't like them in the games, but the holo effects on the cards do them a lot more favors, even if the hat is stupid. The real issue is not making use of the typing for more interesting art. For instance, the new Charizard is a pretty card, but at the end of the day it's just a Charizard full art with a filter. They could have done some really cool artwork with its dark theme, maybe emphasizing its flame as a light in the darkness. But to be fair, I expect this is more of an introduction of teras to Illustration rares and I would hope the typing plays into the art more later on.
