>>21707085If you're talking about the announcement trailer then that was Pikachu releasing a thunderbolt on EARTH and NOT on the POKEMON WORLD. He was in Paris when he did this, not Lumiose City (look at the tower in the background if you don't believe me).
Regions are inspired by real life locations in our world but they are certainly not copies of them, the same stands for the geography of the pokemon world. For example there are only 2 sets of 2 regions that definitely sit next to each other Kanto and Johto, which the player can actually pass between in GSC and HGSS and Unova and Kalos whose maps link together so perfectly that even ridges in the clouds drawn on the maps match up. Now we know that on Earth the top half of France isn't directly North of New York and that even if it was the scale would be somewhat different compared to France, however in the Pokemon World this isn't a problem because the regions are only loosely inspired by any Earth counterparts they have and their location can be anywhere GF decides.
We will never get to see a full map of the pokemon world or see the continents from space because that ties GF down to some degree when designing regions for future games. When we go up in space in ORAS the only part of the world we will see that is not obsqured by clouds or blurey as hell will be the Hoenn region.
