>>51397368Perfect list, in my opinion, May and Dawn's character arcs are equally as strong. I think the reason Dawn wins over May is simply that she trying to leave her mother's shadow, feels which i believe is a much more compelling arc. Also not to forget her chemistry with Ash was perfect and they both helped each other to improve for Gym Battles and Contests. This is in part thanks to the development Ash got in AG where he would fight with May a lot and not bother to help or cheer for her in her contests. Dawn had more rivals with good enough arcs and lastly, Dawn Vs Zoey is really good compared to May Vs Drew. But overall May and Dawn have perfect female main character arcs and i would even dare to say even better than other females in shonen Anime.
