When trying to think of the cover for this chapter, I had two options on what to show.
Option 1, which I would've rather tried to do, was the conversation between Lillie and the Cheshire Meowth. At the time, however, I was still learning the ins and outs of NovelAI, and didn't realize it's a challenge for the program to generate multiple characters in one image. As a result, nothing was really working. Worse yet, any Meowths I got didn't follow the prompts I tried so he would actually look the part.
That left option 2 - the point where the 'infant' turns into a pig - or a Tepig, in Lillie's arms. This came to make more sense, given the name is in the chapter title. This, however, proved to be just as much of a challenge.
There were two hurdle - getting Lillie in an costume that looked similar enough to the previous covers, and having a Tepig that also looked decent.
Needless to say, I burned through A LOT of points.
Cover 1 is probably the worst of this bunch. The outfit looked okay, but the Tepig did not. At least she's looking at it in a confused manner. There also isn't enough in the background to make it that interesting.
Cover 2 doesn't look bad. The Tepig looks nice, but the Alice outfit was way out there, especially with the giant pockets on the sides, as if the apron is part of the dress. Finally, Lillie is reacting to something on the ground rather than the Tepig. The background is much better compared to the other two, even though the sky is too bright and boring.
Cover 3 is probably the best of these. The outfit looks fine, as does the Tepig. The bow is the wrong style, but that could be replaced if I wanted to work with it. But Lillie still isn't reacting to the Tepig, rather something that's out of our view and ahead of her. And again, the background is too broken up.
I've got two other sets to show for this chapter, which I'll share another time.
For now, which of these three would YOU have gone with?
