In JP she has a Kansai accent(who have the stereotype of being funny, laidback and hard to read at times)and uses -chan when talking about herself(in a "talk to your big sis" kind of way, which fits since the characters she interacts with most are MC and Poppy).
It doesn't feel like she's trying to be masculine anyway. Just approachable and charismatic. The fact that she isn't a straightforward tomboy or prince type is probably a big factor in why she exploded on the JP side to the extent she did. Her personality still holds the same appeal even if she'd just been made a guy.
