Like, people were complaining about Golurk being too small, but looking at this shot he seems exactly how tall as he should be.
Golurk is 9'2", Duskull is 2'7". There's perspective at work here, but I definitely see three duskull stacked beside Golurk here being shorter than him still.
I think part of the misconception is that it's possible they shrink big Pokemon for raid battles to exaggerate the size of the Raid Boss.
That, or people are really shit at eyeballing length/height. Had that happen just the other day when I was volunteering at a children's event. We laid out string the length of various dinosaurs and when we did the 6 foot for Velociraptor, we all though we did it wrong and it was too short until we had a guy who was a bit under 6 feet lay beside it and saw it was right.
