>>48583965>RylandAnother nice contender for 'hardest boss in the game'.
Team - Nidoqueen, Gliscor, Claydol, Excadrill, Torterra, Mega Camerupt. Thanks to the desert field, not only does he get a 1.5x buff to his Ground mon's special defenses, but most Water moves are weakened, and he gets other bullshit like Excadrill's Sand Rush is always active, Dig is basically stronger Earthquake, sandstorm does 1/6th damage (and returns, even if I change the weather).
I lead Pelipper to remove his sand, then swap into Simipour as Nido TSpikes, which funnily enough gets the one Water move in the entire game that is actually buffed by the desert - Scald. Scald eradicates Nidoqueen, out's Excadrill. I send in Bronzong who is built specifically to trap and kill this Life Orb'd monster. I count rain turns, so when it stops, I set the rain back up as Excadrill dies. Mega Camerupt swaps in, I swap to Muk to remove TSpikes as it lands a heavy Heat Wave, then Gliscor -> Simipour on Earth Power as he swaps to Claydol, who dies to Scald. Out is Torterra. This fucking thing's held item swaps its resistances and weaknesses, so it's only weak to Ground and Rock. I swap to Sawsbuck on Wood Hammer, but it uses Desert's Mark - a move that traps you in Sand Tomb permanently, turns you into a ground type, and damages you by 1/6 every turn. Sawsbuck's fate is sealed, I get off two strong Horn Leeches but go down to a Wood Hammer. Rest in peace bud, you were the best.
I swap to Gliscor to finish off Torterra with Dig, then his own Gliscor comes in and gets a buff to its speed/defenses thanks to a Seed. I try to kill it quickly with Ice Fang but it gets hit with Desert's Mark and Ice Fang does too little. I send in Pelipper to set up Tailwind, but that gets hit with Desert's Mark and I miss TWO fucking Hydro Pumps as the Gliscor finishes me off. Now fucking angry, I send in Simipour who with the Tailwind murders Gliscor and Camerupt to avenge his comrades.
