Considering you NEED a copy of BW or B2W2 to trade things to Gen6 from Gen3/Gen4/Gen5, you'd be missing out on that.

Personally I recommend just emulating a copy of White and then buying White 2. Unless you really want to buy both. The problem is the first game has objectively better story but the second game has way more content.

HGSS...you're not missing anything, really, unless you really liked Gen2 and want to play it again.

Because everyone totally hated Gen5 when it came out.

The complaints about X/Y are valid. But the problems with the game aren't nearly as bad as the problems R/S or D/P had. Seriously, you want to bitch about MUH POSTGAME, fucking Hoenn had nothing. Everyone's just spoiled because of Gen2.

Man, I'm not sure I really buy this, I already found a shiny halfway through the story. I guess if I go another 100 hours without seeing any I'll accept it was just dumb luck.
