My savings has been eaten up due to a hospital visit for a couple dozen stitches for some somewhat serious gashes on my face that had me cooped up at home for a while, the permanent scarring and change it has done to my face has taken a toll on me. Can't help but feel like a freak due to it, I've been getting some odd glances and pity from family and friends, but also been told it'll look cool when it fully heals, so I guess that's something to look forward too.
I haven't told anyone the scars were self inflicted, told everyone it was a work accident. Don't want them to think I'm an attention seeker or mentally ill.
