Reminder that if you aren't actually disscusing either your own tastes, or the tastes of other people, then you are a useless sack of shit not actually contributing to meaningful discussion
And no, using stupid fucking fractions labeling how many pokemon you like on another person's chart does not count as "discussing".
To explain my top 10 overall favorites (I can clarify on any other mon here on request):
>SneaselI love, love monster designs with large lower arms/hands and huge claws, and sneasel itself is a fantastic combination of fierce and cute. Ice, while not my favorite elemental type, is one of favorites in most typical video game/fantasy settings, and i'm fond of imp monsters. The asymmetry of him also looks killer. From a gameplay perspective, I also tend to like fast, agile characters, which fits
Peak shouldermon would not evolve/10
>Giratina Absolutely killer design, manages to really look the part of a demonic, otherwordly monster without explicitly looking demonic or just being a mass of tentacles (I like Arceus for similar reasons: it manages to look celestial and "holy" without just being an angel or an alien). From a lore perspective, how it seamlessly has dex entries, species names, ettc that both tie into it being a satanic archtype but also a representation of anti-matter is also cool (the "violence" it was banished for is anti-matter's explosive reactions with normal matter, for example)
I also really like the idea of portals and alternate dimensional bullshit as an powerset,
>HaunterMy original gen 1 favorite alongside Nidoking back in the day (I have scyther ahead of nidoking but they are more really tied), I love it's spikey appearance and jagged mouth and it's disembodied hands, especially in some of it's TCG art it just looked super threatening. It's name is only a single letter away from my actual name, so there's a bit of a personal connection there.
