Spent like a fucking hour in the Wild Area upon first reaching it, went through all 20+ pokeballs it starts you with, made shitty curry with some guy named Greg and took on a couple raids.
And even with all that, I came out with just 2-3 more levels than I entered, so I'm not super worried about overleveling too much.
It's certainly not perfect, but like the reviews all said, this is a damn good start.
