1) "a collection of strips with many authors" is not a doujin format
2) it's not a webmanga either, because it's from fucking 1996
3) the artist is a professional mangaka and not some literal who
4) Nintendo is extremely anal about it's intellectual property and won't let anyone publish shit without permission
But all this is still just a speculation based on common sense.
