i'm throwing a bunch of walls at the idea, like a slightly tryhard badass wandering man of ye olden days (think az but not actually old) who uses mons like bastiodon, and some stereotypically oriental and haughty woman with a lilligant
currently thinking the most about some extreme sports guy (pic related) who is adamant about life being about thrills and achievements and can't imagine a life spent pursuing art or other more sedentary lifestyles. his team consists of an electivire+abomasnow for intimidation factor/heavy lifting, who set up hail and electric terrain, and an alolan raichu+alolan sandslash who go surfing/skiing/etc with him, who then abuse the field conditions. he's also got a stoutland in back, but it's more of a companion who's occasionally used for impromptu search+rescue.
i'll probably flesh out a fair few of the ideas i bounce between, not just one
