Having to use a larvesta until level fucking 59 (which you'll only reach in its debut games in the postgame unless you deliberately overlevel past the league or if you put all your EXP into larvesta) is fucking atrocious; generally any mon with an evolution level that's more than 1/10th of its base stat total is needlessly late
however, since I like Volcarona and have plans to make a game where you can get it while there's still stuff in the main story left to use it on, I'll definitely include a mid-stage evolution to make the line usable
